Warley In Bloom

The In-Bloom Group is concerned with keeping Warley colourful and tidy. In past years we have won awards from Yorkshire In Bloom and work towards receiving similar accolades and awards in the future

We maintain the planted borders, troughs and orchards in and around the village and support residents with their own In-Bloom planting.  We always need volunteers who can spare a few hours here and there so get in touch by clicking here if you can help out. Another option to help out is to donate a tree to be planted in the village green spaces.  We already have a sizeable ‘orchard’ of fruit trees down the side of the village playing fields all of which have been donated by residents, often in memory of loved ones and have now agreed with the Council a number of new areas around the playing fields for further planting.  You buy the tree and any appropriate plaque you want and we find a spot and plant it for you.  It’s as simple as that so just contact us if you want to make a positive contribution to enhancing our green spaces and protecting the environment

Regular litter picks along the highways and byways are also undertaken so just click on this link if you can help out with these

Warley is also privileged to have 3 private gardens which open to the public as part of the National Gardens Scheme – Gardens Open for Charity

In addition, there is a council owned but self managed site of 37 award-winning allotments in the village.  Click here for further details

The In-Bloom Group members deserve a round of applause for their work in and around the village. In particular, the wild flower display in the graveyard is a joy to behold.
